Breakfast Weekend – Part II

Image

It’s the weekend again, time for the anticipated breakfast binge the kids look forward to.

After our follow up doctor’s appointment in town we decided to rely on our FOODSPOTTING app to point out the best breakfast “nearby”. Seconds later, beautiful photos of waffles and omelets filled our eyes with delight and thankfully the restaurant was right across the street from our Pediatricians office (how convenient).

We walked up to Sweet E’s Cafe and wrote our names down on the wait list for breakfast, apparently there was a 1/2 hour wait. It was 9am and we were starving but we decided to hang out to see what the fuss was all about. Thankfully, another family with children showed up and Lou Lou and Jaf ran “safely” around the parking lot working up their appetite.

Forty five minutes later we were finally seated into what was a small crowded dining room.

The menu was vast and there was a lot to choose from and since it seemed the portions were large (by looking at our neighbors breakfast) we knew not to order too much. But then, we could help ourselves. 🙂

So we were a bit hungry…

We pretty much ordered everything on the menu because we were starving; the Extreme Mess (eggs, ham bacon sausage hash browns, onions, peppers, cheese all scrambled together), Elated “banana” pancakes, Elegant waffles and a lox and bagel for me (mom). We Love how the restaurant named their food items with an “E”.

He finished 1/2 of this baby by himself!

Breakfast was again a success! Sweet E’s Cafe delivered for sure but suggest you go early since it was a bit of a wait. By the time we left the line was much longer with an hour wait. Hopefully we’ll have the patience to wait and go back again.
