Local Breakfast and Brunch Favorites
Are you on the hunt for the perfect brunch spot in Honolulu? Look no further than Puaena Cafe. This new breakfast and brunch cafe has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the city, thanks to its delicious and unique menu offerings. One of my go-to dishes at Puaena Cafe is the Steak Loco Moco. This hearty dish features a bed of fluffy rice topped with a juicy steak patty, a perfectly cooked egg, and a generous drizzle of gravy. It’s a savory and satisfying way to start the day.

But it’s not just breakfast and brunch that Puaena Cafe does well. We also stopped by for happy hour and were blown away by the $3 pints, $5 pitchers, and $5 drink specials of popular cocktails. The fried mandoo and poke nachos were both tasty, and the salmon and fried rice was so delicious we could have eaten the entire plate ourselves.
But if you’re in the mood for something sweet, you can’t go wrong with the Oreo Cream Croffle (a cross between a waffle and croissant). This delightful treat combines the flakiness of a croissant with the crispy texture of a waffle, and is topped with a luscious strawberry cream that’s sure to please your taste buds. And let’s not forget about the Smoked Short Rib Eggs Benedict. This dish is a standout for its perfectly poached eggs, tender short rib, and tangy hollandaise sauce. It’s a brunch classic with a Puaena Cafe twist. But what really sets Puaena Cafe apart is the attention to detail in every dish. From the perfectly cooked eggs to the carefully crafted sauces, every dish is made with care and attention to flavor. And the cozy, welcoming atmosphere of the cafe makes it the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely weekend brunch with friends or family.
The upscale atmosphere of Puaena Cafe is also worth mentioning. With high ceilings, lovely decor, and both indoor and outdoor seating, this is the perfect spot for a date or a gathering with friends. And with plenty of parking available, including a two-side private lot, it’s easy to get to as well.
So if you’re looking for the best brunch in Honolulu, make sure to check out Puaena Cafe. You won’t be disappointed by the delicious food, great service, and fantastic atmosphere. And don’t forget to try the Loco Moco and the Salmon Fried Rice – they’re sure to be your new favorites
