What’s On In February On Oahu

February on Oahu brings with it pleasant 80 degree days full of warmth sunshine and calm nights perfect for nighttime strolls on the beach or pupus on the lanai with family and friends.

Since our micro-school, Acton Digital Academy, is in full swing and enrolling students ages 7-13, my kids are in school during the weekday. After school lets out they head off across the island to their various extracurricular activities—volunteering with Malama Na Honu to protect Hawaii’s green sea turtles (you’ll often hear them referred to as honu on Oahu; it means turtle in Hawaiian) is one of our favorite weekly activities.

Or we check out one of the many family-friendly events happening on Oahu during the month! Boredom is not a part of our vocabulary. 🙂

It can get overwhelming knowing how to spend your free time while on the island, which is why we’ve decided to start a monthly series rounding up the best family-friendly events each month of the year.

From a family-friendly run to family movie day during the Honolulu African American Film Festival, here’s everything you need to check out this February on Oahu.
