Growing up in Hawaii, we’ve seen so many changes to our favorite shopping mall Ala Moana Center. But the best change was that of the food court, the Makai Market, which grew in size over the years.
MAKAI MARKET AT ALA MOANA
The Makai Market at Ala Moana is considered to be Hawaii’s largest food court, with close to 30 fast dining options. It was recently under renovation, and the new refresh includes new flooring and ceiling finishes, comfortable and plentiful seating making it the perfect option for families. When we can’t decide what to have for lunch or dinner, we head over to the Makai Market Food court at Ala Moana mall so everyone gets a chance to eat what they want (here’s their restaurant listings).
The kid-foodies especially enjoy coming here because they get to experience a variety of foods from different cuisines. The restaurants at the food court offer Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese, Filipino, Italian, and of course the popular American classics. Whether you’re in the mood to try some of the local Hawaiian flavors, you have a few options, two you could try are Poi Bowl or I Love Country Cafe, if you’re in in the mood for a slice of Pizza, Sbarro’s is a safe choice!
