It only took a month in Belgium for our entire family to turn into chocoholics. Chocoholics with a taste for gourmet chocolate!
We rarely, if ever, purchase chocolate from the local grocery store and if we do, it’s normally chocolate from Belgium, Switzerland or France.
Yes, we are chocolate snobs and very proud of it.
So, while in Whistler this past December, we were very happy to walk into the wonderful chocolatier, Rocky Mountain Chocolates.
The mere sight of the window display made us drool.
There was no denying we would be walking out of this store with more than a pound of chocolate.
They had the most wonderful candied apples, one of which we purchased and took back to the hotel. It was dipped in dark chocolate, covered with white flavored mint chocolate, and then topped with oreo cookies.
It took a day to consume it, but, it was OH-SO-ADDICTING.
Though we purchased several different types of chocolate to take home to friends and family, the ones we just couldn’t stop eating were the Macadamia Nut Bears…oh so heavenly.
The kids both bought cookies topped with caramel, chocolate, and M&M’s. The cookies were so large they ended up taking two whole days to finish!
Little did we know this was an American franchise based in Colorado with locations throughout the USA, Canada, Japan, and even Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner we’ll be ordering our chocolates online (sadly, there are no franchises in Hawaii…yet. Hint. Hint.).
If you’re somewhere near a shop, we suggest you paying Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory a visit. Trust us when we say, you will not be disappointed!
Look up this chocolate factory. It is just divine!
