While taking a drive around the island one school day afternoon, hubby decides to introduce us to his favorite burger joint on the East side of the island, Hawaii Kai.
Teddy’s Bigger Burgers is a cool 1950’s themed burger joint that serves up a simple menu which includes burgers, fries and shakes. The decor is colorful, loud and family friendly. It’s a counter-service style restaurant and we ordered away… The kids opted for corn dogs from the kids menu, Dad had a regular hamburger and Mom, a chicken sandwich. The burgers were delish! The burgers were made with high-quailty ingredients and fresh vegetables and that “special sauce”, oh was so tasty! The kids eat up the corn dogs in literately 5 bites! (I think we were overly hungry)
We were so full we didn’t have a chance to try their famous five-scoop ice cream shakes that are known across the island. They also have chicken and veggie burgers, fish and pastrami sandwiches and not short on healthy options like lettuce wraps burger and chicken salads.
We were in and out of there in a 1/2 hour. Literately the fastest meal we’ve had in a long time. Teddy’s Bigger Burgers started back in 1998 in Waikiki and with one location and have now expanded to Aiea, Ewa Beach, Kapolei and Kailua. We loved this place and will be back again for more!
