The opening ceremony for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games will take place this evening and my pint size athletes are excited to be able to watch their favorite olympian, Michael Phelps. An 18 Olympic gold medalist, Michael Phelps will be carrying the American flag at this year’s ceremony and we can’t wait to watch it all on TV!
To celebrate, we decided to make patriotic themed rice krispie treats to support not only our fellow American athletes but all athletes competing for the world’s best! And since Lou Lou has a soft spot for France, these red white and blue rice krispie treat desserts are making her heart flutter.
Don’t forget to watch the opening ceremony tonight, Friday 5th August in the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro starting at 7:00 pm (EST).
